Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Programs
Wharton Programs for Working Professionals (WPWP) offers professionals and entrepreneurs five areas of post-baccalaureate study at one of the world’s leading business schools:
Additional programs are offered to managers who want to build business skills while improving their English proficiency, and to students in Penn’s Master of Laws degree program.
Held in the evenings at Wharton's Philadelphia campus, all WPWP courses earn graded credits from the University of Pennsylvania and usually qualify for company tuition-reimbursement programs. Students may also apply to take individual courses without pursuing a certificate.
WPWP Students
Our students come from a diverse range of companies and industries — from major corporations to government and non-profit organizations to entrepreneurial ventures. Most WPWP students represent organizations that are based in the greater Philadelphia region and outside the U.S.
- Many WPWP students with undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in science, engineering, medicine, or the liberal arts are seeking a foundation in business to support their current managerial responsibilities and long-term career aspirations.
- Other students who already hold undergraduate business degrees or MBAs take advantage of WPWP courses and programs to expand and update their business knowledge. Emphasis is on applying the concepts learned in the classroom to on-the-job managerial decision making.
WPWP Faculty
- Faculty members are appointed by Wharton departments for their subject area expertise. Their goal is to maximize the learning for students and to encourage the networking opportunities that can arise among a select, highly motivated group of professionals.
